Susan Mustafa 1Susan D. Mustafa is an award-winning author and journalist from Louisiana. She is the co-author of The Most Dangerous Animal of All: Searching For My Father and Finding the Zodiac Killer (HarperCollins 2014), written with Gary L. Stewart. This New York Times Bestseller chronicles Stewart’s search for his biological father and the heartbreaking discoveries he makes along the way.

Susan is the co-author of Dismembered, (Kensington Books 2011) written with Sue Israel, which is the story of serial killer Sean Vincent Gillis, a Louisiana killer who confessed to the brutal murders and mutilations of eight women.

She is also the co-author of Blood Bath, (Kensington Books 2009), written with Special Prosecutor Tony Clayton and Sue Israel. Blood Bath depicts the life and crimes of serial killer Derrick Todd Lee, who was linked by DNA to the murders of seven Louisiana women. This book was originally self-published under the title I’ve Been Watching You.

Susan has been featured in numerous news programs and in several made-for-television documentaries aired on the Discovery Channel in the United States and Canada. She has also been featured on Investigation Discovery programs about serial killers and in a documentary about Derrick Todd Lee, which aired in Denmark. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and journalism.
